WHAT IS AROMATIQUE ATELIER?

Aromatique Atelier is a one-person fragrance studio based in the Netherlands, offering handcrafted perfumes, candles, diffusers, and car scents inspired by designer fragrances.

WHO MAKES THE PRODUCTS?

Every item is handmade by me—from blending scents to pouring candles. I personally craft each order with care and attention to detail.

DO YOU HAVE A PHYSICAL STORE?

Not yet! At the moment, Aromatique Atelier is an online-only shop.

HOW CAN I CHECK THE STATUS OF MY ORDER?

We make every effort to process and ship orders within 24 hours of placement. Please note that we do not ship on weekends.

Once your order has been shipped, you will receive an email confirmation with tracking details. This email will include all the necessary information to monitor your order’s journey. You can use the provided tracking number to check the status of your package on our delivery partner's website.

ARE YOUR PRODUCTS SAFE TO USE AROUND PETS OR CHILDREN?

Most products are safe when used as directed, but keep candles, diffusers, and fragrance oils out of reach of pets and small children.

WHEN CAN I EXPECT MY ORDER TO ARRIVE?

How long will it take to receive my order?

The total delivery time includes 1 day for processing plus the shipping time, depending on your location:

  • Netherlands: 2-3 days (1 day processing + 1-2 days shipping)
  • Belgium & Germany: 2-4 days (1 day processing + 2-3 days shipping)
  • Rest of Europe: Up to 5 days (1 day processing + up to 5 days shipping)
  • Outside Europe: Up to 8 days (1 day processing + up to 7 days shipping)

Each candle is custom-made to order, ensuring high quality. If you order before 18:00, your candle will be crafted the same day, hardened overnight, and shipped the next morning before 12:00.

  • Multiple carriers: Packages often switch between carriers, affecting delivery speed.

CAN I REQUEST A CUSTOM SCENT OR PRODUCT?

Yes! I love custom ideas—feel free to email me your request and I’ll see what’s possible.

ARE YOUR PRODUCTS CRUELTY-FREE AND VEGAN?

Yes – all of my products are 100% cruelty-free and vegan. I believe in conscious choices that are kind to people, animals, and the planet.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PERFUME. EAU DE PERFUME AND YOUR FRAGRANCES?

My perfumes contain up to 40% fragrance concentration, which falls under extrait de parfum. That’s much stronger and longer-lasting than most eau de parfums or eau de toilettes.

ARE YOUR PERFUMES SAVE FOR SENSITIVE SKIN?

I use high-quality fragrance oils and alcohol, but if you have sensitive skin, I recommend patch testing on your wrist first. I have also a sensitive skin but never had problems like irritation etc.

HOW DO I USE THE CAR FRAGRANCE WITH THE VENT CLIP?

Simply clip the fragrance onto one of your car’s air vents. As air flows through, the scent is evenly dispersed. You can rotate or reposition the clip to adjust the intensity.

WHAT ARE YOUR CANDLES MADE OF?

I use a sustainable blend of soy and coconut wax. It’s eco-friendly, vegan, and burns cleaner and longer than traditional paraffin wax.

DO YOUR CANDLES PRODUCE BLACK SMOKE?

No, as long as you keep the wick trimmed to about 5mm, the soy-coconut blend burns clean with minimal smoke.

HOW STRONG IS THE CAR PERFUME?

It’s designed to be noticeable but not overpowering. The intensity depends on your vent setting and airflow.

ARE THE CAR PERFUMES REFILLABLE

Refill options are in development! For now, new inserts or replacements will be offered separately.

CAN I TRAVEL WITH YOUR PERFUMES?

Yes! The 10ml format is perfect for travel and meets airline carry-on liquid requirements.

WHERE DO YOU SHIP FROM?

All orders are packed and shipped from Zuid-Holland, the Netherlands.

DO YOU OFFER LOCAL PICKUP?

Not at the moment, but it may become available for local customers in Zuid-Holland in the future.

WHICH COUNTRIES DO YOU SHIP TO?

I currently ship within the Netherlands and most EU countries. More regions will be added soon!

  • NL: €5.95 and FREE on orders above €35
  • BE/DE/LU/ZW/FN/DK/NW/FR: €7.95 and FREE on orders above €50

CAN I TRACK MY ORDER?

Yes! Once your order has shipped, you’ll receive a tracking number via email.

WHAT IF MY ORDER ARRIVES DAMAGED?

I carefully package each item, but if something arrives damaged, please email a photo of the issue within 48 hours of delivery and I’ll make it right.

CAN I SEND AN ORDER DIRECTLY AS A GIFT?

Absolutely. Just enter their shipping address at checkout and add a note if you'd like me to include a personalized message.

HOW ARE YOUR ORDERS PACKED?

All orders are packed with care in recyclable packaging—both eco-friendly and gift-worthy.

WHAT ARE THE DETAILS OF YOUR RETURN POLICY?

At Aromatique Atelier, we want you to love your candles. However, due to the nature of our products, we can only accept returns under specific conditions.

You may return a candle if it is unused, unlit, and in its original condition, or if it arrives damaged or broken. If your order arrives with any defects or damage, please contact us immediately with photos so we can assist you with a replacement or refund.

For eligible returns, please reach out to our customer service team within 14 days of receiving your order. We will provide you with return instructions and process your request as quickly as possible.

Please note that we cannot accept returns for candles that have been lit or used.

HOW MUCH TIME DOES IT TAKE TO PROCESS A REFUND?

We process returns as quickly as possible, beginning with shipment from your postal office to a consolidation hub and then to our atelier.

Refunds can be issued in two ways:

  • Digital gift card – The fastest option, typically processed within 2-3 business days after approval.
  • Original payment method – Usually takes 7-10 business days to reflect in your account.

You will receive email notifications once your return has been processed and your refund has been issued.

Yes, returns must be in their original condition and packaging to qualify for a refund.

CAN I RETURN SALE ITEM?

No, all sale items are final and not eligible for return or exchange.

WHAT IF I RECEIVED THE WRONG ITEM?

I’ll fix it immediately. Email me with a photo and your order number, and I’ll send the correct item at no extra cost.

CAN I RETURN USED PRODUCTS?

Unfortunately, I can’t accept returns on used or opened items for hygiene and quality reasons.

DO YOU OFFER STORE CREDIT INSTEAD OF REFUNDS?

Yes! If preferred, I can offer store credit for your return instead of a refund.
